The tour will start with a presentation of the history of the Coast Guard Yard. The tour will include a visit to an engine shop, a walk of the waterfront to the shipways, synchro-lift dry dock, structural shop and paint complex, electrical shop and mechanical shops. The tour may be cancelled in the event of a change in operational/mission status.

Requirements for registration:
- Require full name, citizenship and indication of the type of photo identification card that will be presented upon arrival to the Coast Guard Yard (indicate whether the ID is a drivers license or passport).
Requirements for participation during tour (this is a walking tour):
- No open toed shoes.
- Long pants, shirts with sleeves, and hard-soled shoes are required.
- No firearms are permitted on base.
- USCG will provide hard hats and safety glasses.
